Philadelphia Eid Coalition – Eid Holiday Recognition in Philadelphia Public Schools

As Project Manager for the Philadelphia Eid Coalition, our firm made history by leading a successful campaign to obtain the recognition of the two Islamic (Eid) Holidays on the academic calendar for Philadelphia Public Schools. In 2019 ES organized the Philly Eid in the Park Festival, attended by over 15,000 community members of diverse backgrounds.

Please Touch Museum Exhibition – America To Zanzibar: Muslim Cultures Near and Far

In 2019, Evolve Solutions served as the Project Manager, Senior Community Engagement Advisor, and Curator for the Philadelphia Please Touch Museum’s groundbreaking exhibition, America to Zanzibar: Muslim Cultures Near and Far, which received both local and national acclaim. As the social and cultural experts for this project, ES managed oversight of the museum’s exhibition from research, community engagement and exhibit customization, to programming and education. ES assembled a coalition of diverse Masjids, Muslim communities and interfaith professionals across the greater Philadelphia region who served as community advisors helping to shape the exhibition.

PIAA Religious Freedom Advocacy Campaign

In 2018, Evolve Solutions made history leading a civil rights issue-advocacy campaign on behalf of student athletes across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We built a grassroots coalition of religious & community leaders, elected officials, and civil rights activists to coalesce in a concerted response to the egregious violation of a Muslim student athlete’s religious rights. As a result of a strategically focused advocacy campaign, Pennsylvania legislators negotiated with the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association to adopt new language which would allow unfettered expression of religion for student-athletes. The Commonwealth now actively observes the religious beliefs of its students and their right to wear adherent headdress while playing sports without a special waiver.

Women’s March on Philadelphia

Key organizer for Women’s March on Philadelphia, which drew over 60,000 attendees annually. Our work allowed us to develop a more diverse coalition of women for this historical movement. ES ground game resulted in a significant increase of women of color as well as local government official’s active engagement in the movement.
